Press Releases

Pope Flynn Law Firm has announced that C. D. Rhodes has joined the firm as an associate in the firm’s government and utility law practices.  Pope Flynn is a Columbia-based law firm concentrating in public finance, government, and utilities law. Rhodes received his BA in Historic Preservation and Community Planning at the College of Charleston and his JD from the University of South Carolina School of Law; he also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of South Carolina.

Prior to his entering the field of law, Rhodes worked with the City of Sumter’s Planning Commission, the Santee-Lynches Regional Council of Governments, and in residential development in Clarendon County.

“I have always enjoyed working with the preservation and development of communities, cities, and counties,” says Rhodes. “My work at Pope Flynn allows me to continue exploring that theme, from a legal and public finance perspective.”

“Our firm continues to grow and we are adding talented young lawyers in our three areas of concentration — public finance, government, and utilities law,” says Belton Zeigler, Managing Partner of Pope Flynn. “That focus serves our clients well and C. D. is already a terrific addition to our team.”

Rhodes will be based out of Pope Flynn’s Columbia office at 1411 Gervais Street.
